The 2021-2022 WCCHA conference season officially got underway with St. Cloud State hosting North Dakota State this past weekend. After two hard fought games, the teams each earned a victory to open what should be a highly competitive competition as the league returns from a year off.
In non-conference play, Winona State suffered a heavy defeat on the road to Marquette in their season opener, while UW-Eau Claire earned 3 of 4 points on the road against Concordia-Wisconsin, who is coming off of their first ever trip to Nationals last season.
