WCCHA Welcomes Jamestown for 22-23 Season

The WCCHA is excited to announce the addition of the University of Jamestown to the league for the 2022-2023 season. The Jimmies will enter the league as a full member of the Northwest Division, competing against a slate of WCCHA opponents in the battle to qualify for the 2023 Carla Berg Cup Playoffs and the opportunity to win the 2023 WCCHA Championship.

From WCCHA Commissioner Ryan Donovan: “The WCCHA is looking forward to the 2022-2023 season and is thrilled to add a well-established and competitive program in the University of Jamestown. A fit competitively and geographically, we know the Jimmies will settle in well from day 1 and support our continued upward trajectory as a league. Their addition also ensures our league’s model remains in place, and that our members have the full outlay of competition heading into the start of the year. I want to thank Dean Stork and Blake Zabinski at Jamestown for their interest and involvement during the membership review process – we look forward to a great season!”

With Jamestown’s addition, the league is currently finalizing the competition schedule for all 14 members. The full slate of regular season games will be announced shortly, culminating with the 2023 WCCHA Tournament to be held Feb. 10-12, 2023 at the NSC Super Rink in Blaine, Minnesota.

Jamestown will inherit the spot of North Dakota State University, who forfeited their membership and will not compete as a team this season.
